Wind Turbine Major Component Exchange (MCE) Technician – Nationwide TravelIncrease your chances of reaching the interview stage by reading the complete job description and applying promptly.Location: Projects across the United StatesContract: Long-term contractPay: $30–$40 per hour, depending on experienceRotation: Six weeks on/one week offTravel: NationwideSelect Offshore is hiring experienced Wind Turbine Major Component Exchange Technicians for long-term major corrective projects across the United States.You will work as part of an experienced MCE team carrying out the removal, replacement and installation of major wind turbine components.The RoleComplete major component exchanges, including gearboxes, generators, main bearings and bladesSupport crane operations, rigging and lifting activitiesFollow lift plans, method statements and OEM proceduresComplete mechanical disassembly, installation, alignment and reassemblyCarry out torqueing, tensioning and tooling activitiesAssist with troubleshooting during component replacementComplete pre-task briefings, toolbox talks and job documentationMaintain high safety, quality and productivity standardsWork closely with MCE Team Leads, site management and OEM representativesWhat We're Looking ForPrevious wind turbine major corrective or component-exchange experienceExperience with gearbox, generator, main-bearing or blade exchangesStrong mechanical knowledge and hands-on wind turbine experiencePrevious torqueing, tensioning, alignment and rigging experienceAbility to read technical drawings and follow OEM proceduresCurrent GWO certificationsValid xhyhwjd driver's licenceWillingness to travel throughout the United StatesLegal authorisation to work in the United StatesExperience working on GE, Siemens Gamesa, Nordex or Vestas wind turbines is highly sought afterContract Package$30–$40 per hour, depending on experienceOvertime available based on the project scheduleDaily per diem providedCompany truck and fuel providedSix weeks on/one week off rotationLong-term nationwide project pipelineMultiple upcoming start dates
