Temporary Texas School Bus Driver Certification TrainerFLSA Status: Temporary - HourlyPay Grade: $25-$30 HourlyReports To: Chief Financial & Operations OfficerPrimary PurposeTo train Region 11 school bus drivers by teaching Texas Department of Public Safety School Bus Driver Safety Training Certification classes.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform any and all duties satisfactorily. No "Air Brake" restriction.Special Knowledge/Skills:Knowledge of the material included in the school bus driver certification courseKnowledge of and the ability to present training on the operation and safety of school buses and the duties of school bus driversKnowledge of and the ability to present training on the Texas motor vehicle laws pertaining to school busesAbility to teach adults with a variety of learning stylesStrong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skillsDetail-oriented, with an ability to adhere to precise paperwork and documentation requirementsExperience:Minimum of five years of service in Texas public school transportationMinimum of three years of successful administrative and/or supervisory experience in Texas public school transportationMinimum of three years of successfully training adults (preferred)Essential Duties and Responsibilities*This job description is not intended, and should not be construed, to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, efforts, or working conditions associated with this job. Ability to set up / break down Audio-Visual equipment. Willingness to use own personal vehicle for frequent region-wide travelEnvironmental: Work with ESC Region 11 Transportation Services staff.
